Product information and application
ZINC SPRAY is a fast drying product based on 95% pure zinc powder (in dry
shape). ZINC SPRAY gives a good resistance against corrosion, because it is under
the most corrosive circumstances not as precious as steel.
A good cathodic protection is necessary to prevent rust. Many zinc compounds contain
just a small percentage of zinc, which gives no cathodic protection.
Besides the cathodic protection ZINC SPRAY forms, after a while, a corrosion layer
that gives a strong closed layer, which contributes to the protection of the steel.

Both the purity of the zinc and the thickness of the zinc coat strongly affect the
lifetime of the zinc coat. Because of this, materials treated with ZINC SPRAY will
have a much longer lifetime. Materials treated with ZINC SPRAY can be safely cut,
weld, drilled, deformed etc.
ZINC SPRAY can be applied on blasted, blank and pickled materials in the
shipbuilding, construction industry, maintenance and repair companies etc.
We advise not to use ZINC SPRAY on screw thread or surfaces on which
mechanical-friction occurs. ZINC SPRAY can be used in almost all climates and even
in area's that have a high humidity. Avoid permanent immersion in salt or fresh water.
Directions
AEROSOL
Shake well before use. The ball bearing in the aerosol must be "free". The
surface to be treated must be free from dust, rust, grease and dirt.
Spray distance approx. 30 cm. Spray ZINC SPRAY evenly over the surface using Rolith
Spray-gun if necessary. 2 or 3 thin layers will give the best result.
The applied layer is dust dry after 1 minute. After approx. 2 hours (depending on the
temperature and the humidity) the layer is rustproof.
ZINC SPRAY can be painted after 12 hours.
