Protection Spray

LUBRICANT AND METAL PROTECTOR

Product information and application

PROTECTION SPRAY is a lubricant and metal protector based on waxes, suitable to lubricate chains, wire ropes etc., and to protect metals. The product gives an optimum protection of metal constructions and metal parts which have to be stored for a certain period, e.g. salt sprinklers, sewing machines, sawing blades, construction equipment, parts of cars, engines, ships etc.

PROTECTION SPRAY gives a corrosion protection for outside storage for at least 2 years and for inside storage for at least 5 years. PROTECTION SPRAY is extremely resistant against salt water and is therefore very suitable for application in harbours, offshore industry and on ships. Also materials, which have to be transported over sea, can be protected with PROTECTION SPRAY.
A salt-spray test according ASTM B 117 showed that salt water had no influence on the metal after 400 hours.

In case the PROTECTION SPRAY film has to be removed, this is, in contrast with a lot of other products, very easily done with MC 88, which is an alkaline degreaser supplied by Rolith Chemicals.

PROTECTION SPRAY can also be applied to protect and lubricate electric equipment and make it water-resistant.

Because of its enormous resistance against salt water it is very suitable to be applied on ships, plug sockets of trucks and trailers and switches in wet areas. PROTECTION SPRAY has insulating properties till 35.000 volt at 2,5 mm. interruption. Short-circuiting caused by moisture will be prevented.
